Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system is an electrochemical process used to prevent corrosion in metal structures by applying a controlled electrical current to the metal. This process involves the use of an external power source to apply an electrical current to the metal structure, which effectively creates a cathode and thus reduces the corrosion rate of the metal.
Transformer Rectifier
Cathodic Protection Rectifiers, manufactured by Universal Rectifiers, are recognized as industry leading in quality, workmanship and service life. Many years of field-proven service prove their superior design. Conservative equipment ratings, controlled manufacturing techniques, plus many extra features ensure long and trouble-free operation.
Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) Anode
LIDA® anodes utilize an innovative and patented design: a titanium base with a mixed metal oxide conductive coating. This coating forms a solid solution with the titanium substrate and is an excellent electronic conductor.
Anode Junction Box
Anode Junction Boxes provide a low-cost solution to consolidate multiple impressed current anode cables and a means for monitoring individual anode currents.
Test Station
The Pro-Mark Model PM-TS3 Test Station is a terminal enclosure that is ideal for cathodic protection, telecommunications bonding and grounding, and other utility applications. Each unit comes standard with 5 terminals. Also available as a line marker.
HMWPE Cable
The most widely used cable in cathodic protection is commonly known as “HMW” or “HMWPE”, which refers to the cable jacket or insulation. HMWPE is short for High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, which is a durable, abrasion resistant and flexible.
Coke Breeze
With the right coke breeze backfill, anode-to-earth resistance is decreased, since the backfill column functions as the anode rather than just the anode material itself.
Reference Cell Cu/CuSO4
The model RE-5 copper-copper sulfate reference electrode is a portable unit for cathodic protection potential measurements.
CP Potential Test Equipment
Model LC-4.5 is the first hand-held voltmeter to include a number of special features which facilitate corrosion and cathodic protection testing on underground structures.
